Privacy Policy for Indibly Invoice

1. Introduction

Welcome to Indibly Invoice. We respect your privacy and are deeply committed to protecting your personal and business data. Indibly Invoice is built with a "Privacy by Design" and "Offline-First" approach. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Indibly Invoice mobile application.

By downloading, installing, or using Indibly Invoice, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

2. Offline-First Data Storage (Your Data is Yours)

To provide a highly secure and reliable billing experience, Indibly Invoice operates strictly on your local device.

  • Business & Profile Data: The business details (name, address, GSTIN, UPI ID, etc.) and customer information you enter are stored locally on your device.
  • Invoices & Bills: All generated invoices, items, and transaction histories reside exclusively within the app's local database on your phone.
  • No Server Sync: We do not transmit, collect, or store your invoices, customer lists, or financial data on our servers. Because of this, you are solely responsible for backing up your data (such as by exporting PDFs).

3. Information We Collect

Because your business data stays on your device, we only collect minimal, non-identifiable data to keep the app running smoothly:

  • Usage Analytics & Crash Reports: We may collect anonymous diagnostic data and usage metrics to help us identify bugs, understand how the app is used, and improve overall app performance. This data contains no personal or business-identifiable information.

4. Permissions Required by the App

Indibly Invoice requires certain device permissions strictly to deliver its core features. We only access what is necessary:

  • Storage / File Access: Required to save your local database and to export/save generated PDF invoices directly to your device storage.
  • Share Intent / Network: Used when you manually choose to share a generated invoice PDF via third-party apps like WhatsApp, Email, or SMS.

5. Third-Party Services

Indibly Invoice may utilize standard platform tools (such as Google Play Services) to process anonymous usage metrics and crash logs. We do not sell, rent, or trade any of your data to external third parties. Furthermore, we do not track or process the UPI payments generated via the app's QR codes; those transactions happen directly between you and your customer's banking apps.

6. Children's Privacy

Indibly Invoice is a commercial billing tool intended for use by merchants, shop owners, freelancers, and businesses. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within this document with an updated effective date. You are advised to review this policy periodically for any changes.
